registration for licensure exam

yesterday, i went to PRC (professional regulatory commission) to register for physician licensure exam. but i have no idea what should i do first. so, i try to put a column on my blog regarding steps on how to register in PRC. hope this will help a lot for those who are going to register for their respective licensure exam and especially for those who will take physician licensure.

first, PRC is located in morayta manila near FEU morayta (there are 2 campus of FEU. one in manila and the other is in fairview, dont be confused).

the above link will help you to locate PRC. if you want to look onto a bigger map, you can freely visit wikimapia website and type PRC on the search bar. if you are coming from the north, let us say from quezon avenue you will pass by university of sto tomas which will tell you that you are near morayta. if you are riding on a bus or jeep, you may just tell the driver to set you down at moryta.

the above image serve as a landmark that you are near PRC. at the right side of the image (beside KFC) is the side from quezon ave. going buendia or quiapo. you need to cross to the left and turn left again. if you are lost you can always ask the side walk vendors but be careful from snatchers.

the public assistance counter is where you can get application form. you must fill up all the information asked including the codes (school code, address code etc.). codes are posted in a bulletin board  just in front of the public assistance counter. after you complete your application form, you need to have a metered stamp. you can get this on metered documentary stamp section just like the first image above.

after you completed your application form and having it a stamp posted. you are directed to notary section at the second floor of the building.

after your application form notarized, the next step is to go to processing window, this is where they will check if all your requirements are complete, such as the transcript of records, diploma, certificate of internship, NMAT (national medical admission test) result, and birth certificate. for other professional courses, the requirements needed are enumerated at the back of the application form.

after the processing window, now you need to pay at the casheir outside the building..

finally you need to go to the office of professional teachers where you are to submit all the documents and they will return to you the notice of admission and receipt which will serve as your pass during examination day..

reminders: you must bring along with you a black pen, glue or paste. you may want to bring water and some chocolates or candies. this will prepare you from heat and hypoglycemia due to numerous applicants and people who are renewing their license.. be sure that you also brought the complete requirement so to avoid hassle during registration.
